Jumper Bay

After journeying up, down and around more corridors the three of them finally arrived outside the Jumper Bay. Rory waited for the huge doors to slide apart "I feel like I did the first time I flew a Hawk, this is so exciting". The large doors finally started to move apart and Rory tried to look through the gap that had formed, it was no time at all though before they drew fully open revealing the Bay and all its Jumpers. Rory was amazed at how many there still were, considering Atlantis had been evacuated by the Ancients. She stood taking in as much detail as possible while she waited for someone to give the OK for her to take a closer look.

Kate smiled at the lieutenant's reaction, she'd reacted much the same way when she first joined the Atlantis Expedition. She decided on making the brunette sweat for a few minutes before nodding to her, "Get a better look, just don't fire any up without permission."

Rory smiled her thanks at Kate and headed over to the nearest Jumper. She aproached it and came up around the back, the ramp was down and she stepped up to get a closer look. The ship instantly sensed her ATA gene and fired up " I swear I didnt touch anything" she said her head poking out from the backend of the Jumper. She tried to clear her mind not wanting the ship to do anything else, unable to go blank she tried to focus on something harmless 'chocolate'.

Kate laughed, some of Atlantis had the same reaction to her own ATA gene. She nodded to the Jumper and it shut down, "You'll learn."

"All members going on today's mission, report to the briefing room."

Kate glanced up and nodded either of you want to check it out? Alex shook his head as he looked around but Rory looked interested.

"Yeah why not" Rory was eagre to take in anything and everything. Even if she wasnt on the mission it would be good to see how everything played out and get a feel for it. Besides until she had some training on one of the Jumpers it was probably better to stear clear. She made a mental note to find someone who could get her trained up.

"Ok, time to see if I remember the way? Im usually pretty good at finding my way around new places" 'I hope' she added mentally. She turned out of the jumper bay and toward the briefing room, Kate followed closely behind.
