"Ok sounds like nothing to worry about, trust me after working with the police and airforce for so long you get used to allsorts!" Rory stood at the stores counter as the SF piled up kit in front of her. He asked her size and dissapeared to collect uniform and boots. along with the uniform he returned with a new pack for her and a tac vest, hanging form the tac vest was the leg holster for a zat. Rory stuffed as much of the kit as she could inside the pack and slung it over her shoulder, cradling the rest of the kit in her arms she headed back to her quarters to get changed. "Ill meet you at the Armoury in 20 minutes" she nodded to Kate as she jogged off down the hall.
(OOC - sounds like a fair enough reason, Rorys just gonna pop to her quarters and meet you at the Armoury)

Rory arrived at the Armoury where Kate was waiting patiently for her, she checked her watch to see if she taken too long, no she was bang on time. "Hey" she called out to Kate to get the womans attention "how do I look" Rory did her best cat walk pose and pout then laughed.

Teyla spared a glance to Ronon and she shook her head amused as she got out of her chair and headed out of the room to get changed into her off-world clothes before she entered the gate room once more and cleared her throat as she adjusted her uniform and waited for the gate to open.

John entered the 'Gate room a few minutes later, seemingly relaxed and ready to get moving. He smiled at Teyla and approached her. "You know the people on this planet?" he questioned, "or have you just heard about them?"
ooc; Since we're not actually roleplaying the mission, for the simple purpose of keeping it a mystery, we might as well not bother posting in the 'Gate room since it'll (hopefully) be short.

Kate laughed, this woman definately had her uncle's sense of humor, "Oh very nice. I heard this look is all the rage on the catwalk in Paris. Come on let me get you to John before you miss your first mission."

Rory grabbed the standard issue weapons.. P90, 9mm and holstered them, then the not so standard issue Zat which she strapped to her leg. She was handed a couple of grenades and some smoke as well as a couple of other extras trinkets. She thanked the armourer and headed back to the Gate Room.
She found Colonel Shepherd and Teyla already there waiting, she greeted them both, saluting Shepherd. She turned to Kate "I wish you were coming, you've been such a help. Thankyou" she didnt think it was appropriate to hug the woman, but had they been in a different setting she would have. Grateful for making a friend so soon, Rory had a warm fuzzy feeling about being here on Atlantis. She inwardly thanked her uncle Jack for recommending her for this and new that he'd been right, this was exactly what she needed.
She stepped up to stand between Colonel Shepherd and Teyla, trying not to look too excited, but unable to stop her self bouncing on her heels and smiling. P90 in her hand they waited for thier last team member to join them.

Ronon entered the Gateroom, noticed everyone already there waiting for him and raised an eyebrow at Sheppard. "Late?"

"I have met several of them before, so yes, I do." Teyla replied with a small smile herself as she glanced back to Ronon, "A minute or so."

Elizabeth stood on the balcony overlooking the Gateroom and nodded to the team as the Event Horizon bubbled into view, "Have a good mission."
John looked up and smiled at her, giving her a short nod before stepping through the gate.
(OOC-Skitz's (aka John Sheppard) internet is down but since she'll be gone for nearly a month, someone needed to start the mission. Teyla, Ronon and Rory - I hope you all know how the mission is going to work (with you all coming back at various times is what I believed was agreed on) with John staying missing until Skitz returns)

Rory watched Colonel Shepherd step into the Event Horizon and then raising her wepon to a ready position stepped up too. She took a brief moment to marvel at the shimmering surface before her and then she too dissapeared.
(OOC - Ok so whats the plan for this mission? Someone wanna PM me and let me know how were gonna do this or do we just make up something and take it from there?)

Several hours later...
The Stargate came to life and a radio message came in <This is Lt O'Neill, something has happened Im coming back but you may wanna have a medical team on standby>. Rory waited for confirmation.

Elizabeth looked at Chuck and tapped on her headset, "Dr. Beckett I need a medical team to the Stargate."
She released the radio and looked over the railing to see what was going to come through.
"You have confirmation Lieutenant, come through." Elizabeth said on the same radio channel as Rory.

The mission was a blur, she remembered arriving on the planet. She vaguely had a sensation of being surrounded by green light and then standing back in front of the Gate, the rest of her team no where in sight. She had radioed them several times but receiving no reply had dialed back to Atlantis.
Receiving the reply from Dr Weir she carefully stepped into the event horizon. Rory tried her best to walk through the Stargate in a dignified manner. But her clothes being way too big for her were not helping. She wasn't too sure exactly what had happened she just knew for some reason she was much smaller than she had been when she set off on the mission. Sleeves pushed back so that her hands were free, she was trying to hold up her trousers so she didn't trip on them as she walked.
(OOC - Just to be clear Rory hasn't shrunk, her body has gone back to being like it was when she was 8! She doesn't know that yet though as her memory is still the same.)

Elizabeth's jaw fell at the sight of one of the newest members of her team walking through the gate. At least she was fairly certain she was...
"Lieutenant O'Neill?"
She headed down the stairs, holding her hand at the soldiers who had their weapons ready. She looked at the gate as it the event horizion shimmered, "What happened? Where are Sheppard and the others?"

Rory was puzzled by Dr Weirs tone of voice when she stated her name. But answering her last question honestly all she could reply was "I really dont know, there was a green light or something, it was more of a feeling than an actual event. Then I was stood a short way off from the Gate. I tried to radio the others and realised.." she waved her arm down her body indicating her present state. "I tried to radio the others several times but when there was no reply, the only thing I could think to do was return here." She didnt know what else to tell them, that really was all she knew. There were an awkward few seconds before Rory piped up "does anyone have a mirror?". (OOC - All fine by me so far )
