Ronon watched her eyes. Either she wasn't in charge or she wasn't ready to let him out after all. It looked like they were down to battle of patience. He couldn't pretend to remember her because she'd know he was lying, all he could do was convince her he was believing her lies, hoping to remember... "Talk about what?" He agreed.

Kate shrugged, "What do you remember? If you have any memory of what has happened in the past year..."

Ronon rubbed his forehead thoughtfully. "I can't remember." He combined confusion with a hint of honest frustration.

Kate narrowed her eyes, she'd raised a teenager into a grown man, she knew when she was being 'had'. She crossed her arms and raised her head defiantly, "Ronon take off your shirt."

Ronon was caught off guard. He hid it well but it wasn't a sensation he was used to. He like to keep his options open, his mouth closed, and be prepared for any situation. He had good instincts and yet hadn't expected a sudden assertion of authority, especcially one that involved taking off his clothes. He made no move to follow her order. "What?" his tone carried a trace of defiance.

"You heard me." Kate retorted. She felt like a mother but she wasn't about to let that stop her. She'd stopped by the infirmary before joining Ronon in this little cell and talked Carson into checking Ronon's medical folder. Well at least a page of it...
"You and your people are in the middle of a war against the Wraith are they not?" Kate asked rhetorically. "How do you think your fellow soldiers would feel to know you've got a Wraith feeding scar on your chest?"

Ronon's eyes darkened. She was pushing him, either she knew about the war with the Wraith and was trying to use it against him, or she was using what he'd already told them to gain information from him. "When the Wraith feed there's nothing left."

Kate shook her head softly, "Ronon take off your shirt. On your right pectoral, a Wraith tried to feed on you about eight years ago. There's something about your DNA that won't allow them to feed. They placed a transmitter in your back, they made you a Runner. A year ago two of our people, Lt. Colonel John Sheppard and Teyla Emmegan found you. Dr. Carson Beckett removed the transmitter. You wanted to be sent home to Sateda, but when we dialed the address you gave us, there was nothing left. You joined us then. I'm not lying Ronon, please, check your chest."

Ronon 's eyes were on her as he placed his left hand under his shirt to feel the skin. He knew she was wrong and he shouldn't have complied to her deman. The names she'd mentioned couldn't have meant anything to him, he'd been on Sateda that morning. He could still feel the wet dew under his hand as he dialed the Ring of the Ancestors. He'd never been taken by a Wraith and after he had proven it to her he would be making demands of his own... Ronon's hand encountered raised skin on his chest exactly where she said it would be. He knew there had to be another explanation for the scar as he caught hold of his shirt and pulled it over his head -for once ignoring the fact that the position left him vulnerable to attack- and exposing the mark to his own eyes. "This is not possible." Every muscle in his body tensed and a rush of adrenaline was released into his system as horror, denial and confusion hit him simultaneously and his mind pushed back the memories even as he struggled to find them. It was enough to make him look to her for answers when he vividly felt the hand of the Wraith on his chest and broke out in a sweat, backing toward the wall of his prison.

Kate stepped forward as she felt a swell of emotions flood her. She'd never actually seen the scar before and it wasn't exactly something Ronon mentioned to her. She knew how he must be feeling, the sudden shock and fear...her eyes teared at the thought of what he must have been through during his years running and the horror of suddenly reliving it now.
"The necklace," She said softly, touching her own chest to indicate where she was talking about. She wasn't sure if he even noticed he was wearing the necklaces, "I asked you once where you got it. You said its the finger of the Wraith who did that to you." She shook her head, "I'm sorry Ronon."

Ronon leaned back against the wall of the cell, the metal bars cold against his bare back and rubbed his forehead, partially obscuring his face as his head splintered under the weight of eight years of memories returning in fewer minutes. The events he'd remembered as that morning were pushed back to a lifetime ago when he was someone else, someone he'd left behind if not completely forgotten. A young man who thought the Wraith would have to kill him before Sateda, who'd been convinced that whether they won or lost he would never see Sateda fall. Ronon's mind registered her words and he dropped his hand and looked at the bone against his chest. He didn't hold much value in possessions but that bone was almost as much a part of him as any in his body. The tattoo on his neck marked him as a soldier, but the bones against his chest were the symbol of a hunter. A man with nowhere to go, nothing to fear and only one purpose in life. He killed Wraith. The one thing in his life that hadn't changed.
Ronon looked at Kate, this time with recognition in his eyes and met hers. They were dark in the dim light of the cell and moist with a concern and sympathy that both touched him and made him uncomfortable. "Sheppard and Teyla?" he remembered the last time he'd seen his team and stood to his full height, getting down to business. "O'Neill' he added, remembering the young woman he'd met the first time that morning. He knew there were things in his mind he hadn't fully recovered yet, but he could feel the memories there. Everything but the planet and what had happened to him and his team.

Kate smiled softly, "Welcome back. Rory's okay, for the most part. Since I've been working with you both John and Teyla have come home," she reported from what she'd heard through her ear piece.
She looked over at Lorne and nodded, giving him a smile as the major walked over and opened the cell, letting her step out and waiting for Ronon to join them.

Ronon retrieved his shirt from the floor and wasted no time exiting the cage. An instinctive anger rushed through him as he passed Lorne, and he refused to acknowledge the man's presence despite the knowledge that the man had done the right thing in restraining him. He wasn't going to apologize and he didn't want to kill the man so he pulled his shirt back over his head and looked at Kate, "Now what?"

"Infirmary, I'm sure Carson will want to check you out and from what I heard that Teyla did, it's probably best if we're there now." Kate said.
