Marc oversaw the transfer of Ronon from the infirmary to one of the holding cells in the city. Thankfully the tranq Carson stabbed him with was doing the trick, the Satedan didn't even flinch as they untied his bonds and between the six guards, managed to get him off of the bed and onto the floor.
One guard took the medical bed and headed back to the infirmary while Marcus locked the cell. He took a step back and tapped his radio, "Dr. Weir this is Lorne, we have Ronon locked up tight."
"Thank you Major." Elizabeth's voice came through clearly. There was a bit of a pause then followed by, "Can you please report to my office?"
"Yes ma'am." Marcus replied as he walked out of the room, nodding to a lieutenant to keep guard outside of the door.

Ronon's eyes snapped open and he tried to sit up, pushing himself up with his hands and clenching his jaw when his body responded slowly to his commands. He glanced quickly around the cage they'd imprisoned him in before he turned his head in the direction of the presence he'd sensed in the room and recognized the woman who'd blocked his escape. His green eyes settled on her coldly. "Good distraction." He complimented emotionlessly.

Kate took a deep breath as she mustered her courage, when she'd asked to be put in the cell she'd thought it was a good idea. Now she wasn't so sure...
She shook her head, "I didn't know they were going to do that. I'm sorry Ronon."

"Right." Ronon stood from the floor in one smooth motion, keeping his eyes fastened on the woman in front of him. "What do you want from me?"

Kate shook her head, "I don't want anything. Since you've been on Atlantis with us you haven't exactly bonded with people, but people believe that we have enough of a connection to talk. To find out what's going on...do you remember anything of Atlantis?"

Ronon crossed his arms over his chest. He was angry at being held against his will, locked in a cage, angry at himself for own weakness and ignorance that brought him to the point of asking questions of his imprisoner. "This place is Atlantis?" his voice was emotionless, but his eyes burned into her as he waited for her reply.

Kate licked her lips, it was something she found herself doing around Ronon a lot. She figured it was her own way of delaying an answer, though it was hardly ever sexy, on the contrary, she often licked her lips like a lizard, a quick dart of tongue.
She nodded, "Yes. City of the Ancestors," she knew that most of the natives of Pegasus had referred to the Ancients as the Ancestors, and though she didn't know much about Sateda, mostly because Ronon always avoided her questions, she took a guess that his people might too. "You've been living here for almost a year."

"You're not the Ancestors." Ronon stated, maintaining his focus on her while marking the position of the security guards outside the cell with his peripheral vision. "And I don't know you."

"No," Kate agreed, "We aren't the Ancestors. A select few, myself included, are decended from them though. And you do know me Ronon. You like my office, you say its quiet, which isn't true, I talk. Actually I talk a lot, but you don't seem to mind it. If I didn't know any better I'd say you find me amusing,"

Against his will some of the anger faded from Ronon’s eyes. There was something strange about the woman before him. Her size alone diminished, if not eliminated, her status as a threat. And yet she wasn’t afraid of him, as if she sincerely believed she knew him. He’d almost pushed the thought aside when he had a thought. “Your name?” he asked, his forehead creasing as if he was struggling to remember.

"Kate, Kate Baldwin." She smiled softly at him, "But for memory sake, I'm Dr. Kathleen Baldwin. And please don't call me Kathleen."
She tried to make it sound light, like a joke, but she wasn't sure how well the Satedan received it.

"Kate." Ronon repeated slowly. He'd gotten her to smile, there was a chance this was going to work. "And I've been here a year?" he glanced around the room they were keeping him in and raised his eyebrows.

Kate nodded, "Yeah, you have your own apartment and everything."

Ronon dropped his arms from his chest and hooked his thumbs into his belt on either side of the buckle. "Can I see it?" He asked her.

Kate's dark eyes flicked from Ronon over to Marcus. She knew he wouldn't let them go, she had to stall, "Yeah of course. I'll take you there myself, after we talk a little more."
