Radek pushed some hair out of his face before pushing his glasses up his nose as he looked over his computer screen. He'd just spent the past hour running tests on the Stargate and so far he hasn't found anything.
He entered one of the shared science labs to find Amy Sheppard hunched over a new project, he smiled at the young woman, she reminded him so much of his little sister. "Hello Amy, hard at work?"

Amy glanced up, startled, and nearly knocked her laptop off the desk. She caught and steadied it before turning to Radek with a distracted sort of smile. "I'm always hard at work," she replied levelly. "Something wrong?" The teenager had an uncanny ability to sense the emotions of other people, and something about Radek's countenance told her that he was very worried about something.

Radek nodded slightly, "I've been trying to figure out if something went wrong with the Stargate, so far everything shows up clean."

Amy frowned. "Why would something be wrong with the Stargate?" she questioned, feeling a sense of foreboding settle around her. Sometimes she worried about the amount of time she spent locked up in her lab, completely ignoring everything else that was going on in the city. This was one of those times.

"Well no," Radek said putting his computer down, "But Elizabeth wants answers as to what happened on the mission. At least she wants to know if the Stargate has anything to do with Lt. O'Neill's shrinking or Ronon's psychosis."

Amy was completely lost now. "Shrinking? Psychosis?" She had begun to really regret the fact that she'd spent the last ten hours or so in the lab. "What are you talking about, Radek?"

"You didn't hear?" Radek asked, "Ronon and Lt. O'Neill returned through the gate without Colonel Sheppard or Teyla. We don't know where they are and we don't know what's effecting Ronon or Ms. O'Neill."

Something shifted in Amy's expression. It was an almost imperceptible change, and yet it was the sort of look that would have brought her brother rushing to her side, had he been present. "I believe it's been about ten hours since I started work in here," she said curtly. "If you have any ideas as to how I would have heard it, then please fill me in."

Radek shrugged, "It is a small community, I do not know. I'd been working in the jumper bay before Elizabeth paged me. I was certain you had been informed."

Amy rolled her eyes. "I keep telling you that you assume too much. It takes nothing less than a voice speaking directly in my ear to distract me from my work," she said, quoting John's words a few months before.

"I would have thought Elizabeth would have told you, since your brother hasn't returned." Radek said, "But again she's very busy trying to deal with Ronon."

"So what's wrong with Ronon?" Amy asked, leaning against the desk almost casually. "You'd better fill me in, seeing as you're here."

Radek pushed his glasses up his nose, "He has no memory of the past seven years. He believes we are keeping him here against his will, he wants to return to Sateda."

Amy bit her lip. She rather liked Ronon; he was the only person she'd met so far in Atlantis who hadn't ever treated her condescendingly. Even her brother did it sometimes. "And the other person?" she asked, not remembering the name he'd said. The situation was not at all what she had expected, given the other circumstances Radek had mentioned (i.e. John and Teyla still being missing).

"Lt. O'Neill, she's one of the new arrivals. Apparently she has full memories but physically she's become a child again." Radek answered.
