Radek followed the young woman, nodding to the various officers who'd he just left. He was used to Rodney insisting on more tests so no one really questioned his sudden reappearance.

"Did you check the 'Gate records?" Amy inquired, not looking up from her computer. "It's possible that the wormhole could have been redirected without showing any effect on our own Stargate, if it was something at the other end that caused it." She glanced up and gave him a wry smile. "I'm assuming you ran a full diagnostic already."

Radek gave her an amused look, "Yes I ran a full diagnostic already, and the wormhole reached the proper planet, all of the logs show it."

"So what happened?" the girl mused, chewing on her lip as she studied her computer screen. "The MALP didn't show anything unusual, did it?"

"I have reviewed the footage myself, I found nothing unusual." Radek nodded.

Amy was about to respond when the familiar sucking sound of Stargate symbols locking caused her to flinch and look up. "Incoming wormhole," she remarked, one hand clenched and the other still hovering above her keyboard.

Amy turned to look at the computer and waited for a moment as it confirmed the code. "It's John!" she exclaimed, straightening to watch the Stargate.

"Lower the shield." Elizabeth ordered as she moved out onto the balcony to get a better view.

Amy reached over to press the button on the DHD console that lowered the shield, then descended the stairs quickly, wanting to greet her brother in person. It occurred to her in the back of her mind that considering the states of Ronon and Lt. O'Neill when they returned, John might have something wrong with him as well, but she dismissed it quickly.

"Finally!" John exclaimed as he stepped through the Stargate and it shut down behind him. "I've been trying to dial in for hours. D**n thing wouldn't let me touch it." He caught Amy in an embrace as she approached, hugging her fiercely before releasing her and heading up the steps, followed by his sister.

Elizabeth stared at the colonel who appeared to be the same spiky haired man she'd come to know, "John?"

"Yes?" As he reached the top of the steps, John paused, his brow creasing a little in bewilderment. "Why are you looking at me funny? I thought I must be pretty solid by now to dial in and come through the Stargate, and I didn't walk through Amy."

Elizabeth shook her head, trying to recover, "Where's Teyla? What happened? Where were you?"
